Greening Your Library

Greening Your Library

Presented by Rebekkah Smith Aldrich

Date & Time:

Wednesday, September 21, 2011
10:00am - 12:00pm

Location:

Online-at your computer

Registration: $15 individuals; $30 groups
Audience: This workshop is appropriate for all library stakeholders – director, staff, Trustees and Friends - who are interested in ways to make their library “greener."

Going green doesn't have to mean spending a lot of "green." Increase your awareness and interest in energy conservation and environmentally friendly facility issues such as:

•    energy efficiencies
•    facility maintenance
•    sustainable design & building components (for both new construction and for buildings that are being renovated/expanded)
•    funding “green” initiatives.

By the end of the session participants will leave with five easy, low-cost things to do to “green” their library and an understanding of green options appropriate for their facility.
