South Central Regional Library Council offers the UPS delivery service called CampusShip, an option for fast, inexpensive regional shipping of your returnable interlibrary loan materials. We invite you to participate in this shipping service.
Highlights of CampusShip include:
- Easy to use Web-based shipping system.
- Next day delivery (by close of business) for delivery in most of NYS.
- Shared corporate address book for all resource sharing addresses in the SCRLC region.
- Centrally administered policies and fields that reduce variation and reduce work.
- Use of NYS state contract pricing reduces costs for all members.
- A centralized account so electronic billing is sent to SCRLC – we also receive a statistical spreadsheet that we can easily manipulate to gather information on your shipping.
- CampusShip will supplement LAND and can be used to ship to all non-LAND regional libraries.
- UPS tracking applies.
How CampusShip works for you:
Staff will log onto the SCRLC account at UPS, using the authorization and password we provide. Parcels are picked up (or you arrange for pick-up) and delivered by close of business next day. SCRLC will receive the bills and re-bill you on a regular basis.
Highlights of the SCRLC part of the service:
- SCRLC will provide you with an authorization and password to access the UPS account.
- This account will be administered and maintained by SCRLC
- This account will have a pre-loaded address book for all SCRLC interlibrary loan departments of member libraries. SCRLC will maintain the addresses.
- SCRLC will re-bill members at predetermined periods depending on each library’s volume. There will be no administrative fee on this bill.
