Join us in Albany on Tuesday, March 2 for NYLA’s Library Lobby Day!
As you know, New York State’s budget crisis continues to threaten library funding. SCRLC libraries of all types are affected by this, whether in reduced hospital library program funding, CCDA monies, or access to fewer databases and resources. The Governor has called for additional cuts, which would be the fifth time in two years and return funding for libraries/library systems to pre-1998 levels.
Advocacy must be an on-going process, and it is important that they hear from you during Library Lobby Day. It is a chance to tell your story and to demonstrate the importance of library funding for your library as well as for SCRLC. Join library advocates from the SCRLC region and around the state in this effort! SCRLC and the Finger Lakes Library System have chartered a bus to transport you to Library Lobby Day in comfort. Leave the driving to us!

Cost: The bus is free; SCRLC will reimburse the cost of lunch for SCRLC library workers, as will FLLS for their members.
