Bourke Memorial Library is looking for a dynamic person to assist with circulation functions and provide technical assistance to our patrons. Work with the library automated circulation system. Issues library cards to students and community members. Help patrons navigate the library catalog and databases. Assist patrons with Microsoft; Windows operating system and applications. Troubleshoot computer and printer issues and notify appropriate department. Provide back up for Inter-Library Loan, and periodical check-in. Knowledge and proficiency navigating the World Wide Web. Archives college minutes and documents.
Requirements:
Monday/Wednesday 4:30PM-8:30PM, Sunday 12:30PM-7:00PM. Must have proven computer literacy background. Demonstrates strong customer service skills. Great communication skills - verbal and written - Telephone presence. Great analytical, problem solving skills. Must have ability to acquire new computer applications quickly.

This position provides leadership in applying technologies to enhance user-centered library services in support of the teaching and learning mission of SUNY New Paltz. Major responsibilities include planning, implementing, and managing all library systems and innovative services, including Aleph (an integrated library system), web services, and the ILLiad interlibrary loan system. The secondary responsibility is overseeing the Collection Access Team to ensure efficient and high quality operations in the areas of circulation, reserves, and interlibrary loan. As a member of the Library Management Team, the position works collaboratively with the Dean and other library teams to achieve library-wide goals. Also participates in reference service and the library liaison program as a member of the Library Faculty.
Qualifications: MLS, 4+ years of professional experience; demonstrated experience in managing integrated library systems (preferably Aleph) & web services; strong knowledge of Windows, Web design, markup or scripting languages, and emerging technologies; substantial supervisory experience; proven ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of people in a team environment; flexibility, creativity, and organizational skills.

Executive Director
The Board of Trustees of the Pioneer Library System (PLS) seeks an experienced, energetic professional with strong leadership skills and the ability to envision and articulate future possibilities for its 42 mostly small and rural member libraries. Located in Canandaigua, New York, Pioneer serves a population of over 300,000 in Livingston, Ontario, Wayne and Wyoming counties in the Finger Lakes region of western New York. The Executive Director oversees an operating budget of $2.2M, and manages a staff of 17.85 FTEs.
The position requires a candidate with strong communication skills and experience with long range planning, library advocacy, personnel administration, library technology, and fiscal management. Minimum qualifications are an MLS from an accredited library school, NYS Public Librarian’s Certificate or eligibility, and a minimum of 8 years of library experience (post-MLS) at least 2 of which must have been in a senior administrative or management capacity of a library or library system. Some public library experience preferred.

MID-HUDSON LIBRARY SYSTEM
The Board of the Mid-Hudson Library System (MHLS), is seeking applicants for the position of Executive Director due to the June retirement of the 10-year incumbent. Based in Poughkeepsie, New York, MHLS is a state-supported cooperative/ interdependent system of 66 large and small local libraries in a five-county region of the mid-Hudson River valley. 17 full-time and 8 part-time employees provide a wide range of catalogue, circulation, program, support, and technology services to the member libraries. Program Plan of Service and annual budget application require State approval.
The Executive Director reports to the Board of Trustees and will provide oversight and leadership for the staff in developing these programs and services. Extensive communication and interaction with the Directors and Boards of the member libraries is required to determine the specific mix which will best meet the needs of the member libraries. The Executive Director will represent the system and member libraries at NYLA and in other professional venues.
